Toes in the Sand

Reflections

Posted on: 09/28/2009

My children thoroughly enjoyed the eye craft. I needed to find something a little challenging for them to do. I found a reflection craft for them. This to me was one of the hardest things to do. The idea it to draw a line in the middle of the page for the horizon, then draw an image on the top. Then you flip it over and draw the exact same image(so it is like a reflection). Then color it in with crayons and use blue watercolor paint on the bottom to look like water. The kids had a blast. Dragon fell in love with this. He thought that it was very challenging, just what he needed. Tracker found it too hard to do in one day. I learned that I will have to break things down from now on. Here are the finished projects.

That IS a toughie and very interesting! I wonder if my son would “get” the concept. We’ll have to give it a try. Thanks for sharing this project.
