Toes in the Sand

Good Day

Posted on: 09/29/2009

The kids had swimming this morning. The kids really enjoy swimming, but we have decided to take swim lesson else where. I do not like the idea of leaving the gym that we are at now, but there is just a difference of opinion between the instructor and myself.  I think that it might be a post in itself.

After swimming we had P.E. at the local university. This is a great opportunity for my children. They have the chance to see other homeschoolers and learn about physical fitness from someone other than Mom & Dad. I don’t know about you, but my kids seem to  ‘get it’ when it comes from someone else. When I talk about it, they get this glazed look in their eyes. When the PE majors talk, the kids listen. I get some Mom reading time and the kids have fun. It is a win win situation.

After we had lunch we headed over to the library where we checked out WAYYYYYY too many books. But hey that is ok. The kids are reading them. The greatest thing for me is seeing Tracker get excited about books. He has found an author that he absolutely LOVES. He has read all of her books and and gets excited when we find a new one. Today he had 4 of Mo Willems books on hold and he could barely contain himself.
